Vanbar provides multiple display options for the content in this web site. All content is available in all of these. Visitors are free to choose which display option is best suited to their individual requirements.
Scaleable fonts are used in all versions of the site and can be altered via your we browser. For example:
The range of alternative display options are optimised for screen-reading software. These version takes up the maximum width of the browser and are also the best choice if significant font scaling is required. These views are also available with or without images, and with a black or white background as required.
The 'Display Options' link (Access Key: d) is located at the top of every page.
The main sections of our site are always available using the Navigation tabs at the top of each page, or the equivalent section at the bottom of 'Accessible' pages. Our home page can always be accessed using the first tab, by clicking the Vanbar logo, or by using Access Key h.
In the Standard view, within each page (except Home Page, Site Map and Display Options) a link to the current main section, and all content within that section, is located immediately beneath the Vanbar Logo. Further sub-sections are used to order content logically. When you are viewing a page within a sub-section, links to other content within that sub-section are also displayed.
As using the mouse to access page content it is also possible to use the keyboard through a set of Access Keys. To use the Access Keys two keys on the keyboard are pressed at the same time, one normally a function key, such as 'Control' (Ctrl) or 'Alternative' (Alt) and the other a letter or number
Access Keys are identified in the normal display option by an underscored letter within the link.
